Thank you for stopping by!
Lifestyle, our passion...that is how we describe what we do.  It's the day to day, remember when, wish I could have been there type of moments.  It's real life captured forever...not only in a photograph, but in your hearts, your minds, your souls.  We truly are thankful for this role God has blessed us with.  We look forward to sharing these moments, along with our journey, in this crazy place called life.

Please use the tabs above to help navigate your way through the blog.  Current clients can find their images under the websites tab.  Over time, I will be sharing moments that inspire us to do what we do.  Feel free to grab some coffee and stay awhile...

Such a precious little guy...  He had a rough start to his life, but is continuing to make strides by leaps and bounds.  I am always amazed how God has designed our bodies to fight, even when little ones like Rocco, are too young to understand the concept.  Well, Rocco definitely fits the role of a fighter.  It was an honor to capture these beginning milestones for him.  I truly believe that he will continue to grow into the healthy, precious boy that he already is.  Hugs to the 3 of you...

Oh, how I love these 3!  We shot Patrick and Meghan's wedding back in 2009.  And, as fate would have it they were meant to be parents sooner rather than later.  They are both in residency in Utah, but have been blessed with a huge support system which has made their transition into parenthood that much better.

Well, when we are together we catch up right where we left off.  It's like we just saw each other yesterday...and I love it!  If I had to sum up our times together with one word, it would be laughter.  I don't know what it is, but there are usually tears of laughter half way through our time together.  Oh, how I love it and wish we could see each other more often.  Hopefully, a trip to Utah later this year will be possible and we will get to capture more sweet moments filled with laughter.  Love and hugs to you both!

Oh, how I love getting to see our clients time and time again.  When you have the opportunity to shoot a wedding for a couple, a relationship develops that is hard to explain.  You are with them on the biggest day of their lives...through the tears, the laughter, the joy, all of it.  It is hard not to connect yourself with those moments, those people, and remember when.

Well, the icing on the cake is when you get to join them for the next chapter of their lives...parenthood.  While the wedding is the part that brings them together, the child is what makes them a family.  It is overwhelming to think that we are the lucky ones who get to capture these moments for so many.  And, on top of that, the friendships that are developed will be savored for a lifetime.

As for the session, it was wonderful to be with John and Allyson...especially once the crazy thunderstorms moved out. ;)  Avery is such a doll and we couldn't be happier for John and Allyson.  Welcome to parenthood, you two!  Much love to all 3 of you!

John wanted to try out the camera...not too bad. ;)  Thanks for taking the picture of Allyson and I...love it!  Oh, and you may have noticed the adorable accessories on Avery.  It is hard not to buy for a little girl...even at this stage.  Several pieces were found on Etsy and the tutu was made by Allyson.

Allyson Olsen says:

Oh Mel...why am I not surprised that I LOVE THEM ALL!!! :) Thanks so much for coming up to capture this beautiful time in our lives. Your patience with Avery was awe inspiring! ;) Blessings to you and your family.

Oh, how I love newborns!  They are as sweet as can be and I always leave with a major case of baby fever. ;)  Baby Noah was very compliant and let us move him this way and that.  He was such a doll and it was an honor to capture this time in his precious little life.  I look forward to seeing the 3 of you again in the future.  Sending hugs your way...

I apologize for my blogging delay!  Baby Noah's mommy and daddy saw their gallery what seems like forever ago.  There is so much to share it's crazy.  Love me through the craziness...  ;)

There is always a debate on whether or not a mommy-to-be should do maternity pictures.  Believe me, I've been there, and know that there are points in a pregnancy where you just want to feel normal again.  The thought of being in front of the camera is the last thing you want to do.  Then there is the other side of the debate...capturing this moment when your body is performing quite the miracle.  A miracle that is still amazing every time you watch your body transform and feel those little movements from within.  A moment of time that you want to freeze and remember...even though you may not feel like your normal self.

Well, Clint and Emily had quite the plan with their maternity session.  They are going to use a number of these pictures to display in their soon-to-be little girl's nursery.  They will also be using them to remember this time that the two of them shared before their family began.  Such a wonderful idea and I love the result.  Oh, and Emily is striking in all of these...absolutely gorgeous!  Can't wait to meet your precious girl!  Hugs to you both!
